In the workshop I taught yesterday, we brainstormed LGBT characters & series in comics/cartoons. Clearly some are just speculation (Jughead?) but was a fun discussion! We talked about censorship and homophobia in comics, about making art from queer experiences and about how awesome Adventure Time is. I had such an amazing time and really want to do something like it again. I’ll tell you, these kids really know their manga!
